What are the questions I need to ask myself that can make a difference in my life and in the way I manage my drive and expectations. What are the questions to ask myself to get the most out of life? First of all it is important to remember the wise words by Voltaire:

Judge a man by his questions rather than his answers.

To follow up I want to remember these wonderful wise words that Marisa Mayer one of the leading personalities and managers in Google told the audience at 92Y:

“Burnout is about resentment [Preventing it is] about knowing yourself well enough to know what it is you’re giving up that makes you resentful.”

So the question is how to drive your life in a focus way that you get the most out of your life and at the same time avoiding any negative burnout. How to make sure you are driven by value and challenging yourself and making sure you are going in the direction of your quest and happiness? I came up with these questions that are rather simple but at the same time help me focus and realise what is indeeed important to ask myself. here they are 10 simple questions that I want to remember at least once a month if not every week.

1. What did you want to be when you were young?
A doer, someone that does great projects and get things done and is always learning and travelling around the world. I wanted to be as well a filmmaker, a writer and a musician. And of course a happy fulfilled person surrounded by inspiring people that love and care for.

2. What is you relation to society and polis, politics?
First I am a man of a family, therefore I need to remember my relatives and their values. After I am a man of society, of the polis, therefore I try / need to have a civic contribution. I want to be engage as a member of a family, friends and also as a citizen and have a say through my convictions and values and specially through digital and web social media citizenship programs and initiatives. As a citizen at the moment I consider myself a world citizen living between various countries and cultures.

3. Who are the people that influenced you the most?
The people I love, my lovers, my parents,  family, some teachers, friends and peers. Big creators and thinkers such as Homer, Virgil, Dante, Leonardo da Vinci, Miguel Angelo, Ticiano, Rembrandt, and writers, literature personalities, artists, filmmakers such as Camoes, Shakespeare, Fernando Pessoa, Picasso, Ezra Pound, Stanley Kubrick, David Bowie, Bjork and many others.

4. What are your current interests?
Writing, aesthetics, world geopolitics, financial and economic flows, creative expressions: art, literature, music, film, internet, web and apps, technology.

5. Does creativity, innovation and art influence the evolution of society?
Creativity, innovation and Art is part of the society blood. Society needs it for its breathing and moreover it is critical for its blood circulation, without it it, society starts having circulation issues that can contribute to heart attacks and after a while it can contribute to impoverishment and death of a given society.

6. Which word best defines your activity of creation?
Personality

7. What is, for you, the meaning of language? Of the word?
Reaching the other. Visualise thoughts and get closer to the other. The inner other and the outer other(s).

8. What would you take with you to a deserted island?
My loved ones.

9. Which are the most urgent reforms?
Education and social integration. Self development focus on continuous change, learning and action.

10. What should happen to your work?
Make you outstanding mark and touch other people.
