I just decided to join the biggest moment online sensation. It is funny what wikipedia says about what a tweeter (not to be confused with twitter) is:

“a loudspeaker designed to produce high frequencies, typically from around 2,000 hertz to 20,000 hertz (generally considered to be the upper limit of the human hearing). A few tweeters can manage response up to an octave or more higher (30 to 45 kHz). The name is derived from the high pitched sounds made by some birds, especially in contrast to the low woofs made by many dogs after which low frequency drivers are named (woofers).” They picked a good metaphor for the name Twitter, the analogy with tweeter is funny.

With it’s massive growing number of memebres and updates some say (a lot) Twitter is going to be massive then Facebook. It is interesting the way they simplify the way users can receive updates via their website, with SMS, RSS, or through sharp applications, widgets such as TwitterMobile, Tweetie, Twinkle, Twitterrific, Feedalizr, Facebook, and Twidget, a widget application. And by the velocity the internet industry and several third parties are offering posting and receiving updates in their website and via email it is curious to see where they are going… Already with over 5 million visitors in September 2008, (according with some tracking sources) Twitter opens a new direction in simplifying the internet trends in social networking and microblogging mixing it with sms and mobile telecommunications. Also the easy way people can manage it is important as a simple way of communicating in a society that wants to be faster than the speed of sound or light…

Signs of the times, fashion or future let us see. Barack Obama is taking the best of it in an intelligent way…
