In a recent feature for OneTV (亞太第一衛視) and the Family Office Fintech Association (FOFA), Dinis Guarda joined the Asia-Pacific broadcast platform for a wide-ranging conversation on the real-world applications of AI and blockchain — from urban infrastructure to farming communities.
The interview covered the full scope of Dinis’s work: his platforms CitiesABC and BusinessABC, his experience driving digital transformation across Southeast Asia and Africa, and his outlook on the technologies shaping the next decade of investment.
At the heart of the conversation was a clear philosophy:
“I have a mandate and I’m very focused on how we can use these technologies to empower us, not the other way around.”
On CitiesABC, Dinis described the platform’s evolution into a blockchain and LLM-powered 3D urban encyclopedia — a living knowledge layer for cities that combines verifiable data with AI-driven insights.

On AgriTech, he spoke passionately about using AI to improve the lives of smallholder farmers and build new trade corridors, grounding the conversation in something universal:
“Geopolitics aside, in the end, everyone wants to eat. When you sit people together at the table, everyone makes the geopolitics aside… this is a universal part of humanity.”

His approach to technology is equally grounded — focused on integration over invention:
“I don’t believe in inventing the wheel. It’s more about integrating this fantastic technology, scaling it, and everyone wins.”
Looking ahead, Dinis flagged AI infrastructure, quantum computing, and deepfake-driven digital identity risks as the key areas for investors and business leaders to watch. His message on the latter was direct:
“Take care of your personal brand… imagine someone creates a fake profile of yours and it might be an AI agent.”
And beyond all the technology, his biggest concern remains a human one — the risk of complacency in a world that demands constant learning.
